Going round in circles

Sometimes making life different is much the same
19/11/2015
After last Saturday's session at my Croydon Life Drawing GroupI've realised something about the way I'm using my new marker pens - I've started to build up the drawings using short strokes, a method that parallels my old pastel technique where I used emphatic crosshatching. Just compare this drawing of Debi from Saturday with this one of Eli I made 10 years ago. The danger is that it all becomes too tight and mechanical - I'm not sure yet how I'll avoid that (or if I'll simply revert to using the pointed end and squiggly lines!)
