Sometimes the model doesn't turn up - it happens in even the best regulated groups - so we spent the morning making portraits of each other. A bit of a problem when I'd come equipped to do an oil painting and nothing else. Not to worry though - I'd bought an old newspaper to clean up with so I used it as a painting surface for this picture of Anne.
