More in my 25 years ago series - After spending the summer of 1991 drawing in charcoal on 21 September 1991 I got out my oil paints again. Previously I'd used a fairly limited palette when oil painting - mix up a basic flesh tone from alizarin crimson and yellow ochre and lighten it or darken it as necessary. But coming back to painting I started putting in more colour. At first it was a little tentative - a bit of blue and red in the shadows - but once I got started things changed rapidly - as you will see in the further posts in this series.
