For the past 20 years or so the way I paint has followed the way I draw. Now I'm trying a variation in my style in which the linear elements follow the contours of the forms. This means I'm going to have to think about altering my drawing style to give me the information I will now need when painting. I'm thinking of adapting the style I used in these pastel drawings - adding lines along the forms and curving the lines of the cross hatching, especially near the edges. As my art teacher at school used to say, "Make it go round."
